Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller, 7-Way, Bluetooth® Smartphone Connection #51180

Needed a brake controller to work with a dealer installed hitch on a 2017 Volvo XC90. Like other European cars, the hitch integrated with the SUV's computer and did not allow for a brake controller to be hard wired. The wireless Curt Echo worked great - easy to use, although it took a couple of tries to initially sync via bluetooth - found I had to connect it to the Trailer cord first before plugging into the 7-way receptacle on vehicle. Also used a small tie strap to more securely hold the Echo in place. Once synced, the Echo worked flawlessly. Easy to set up and adjust. No concerns / issues running the app on my Android phone - I could still access other apps as required without interfering with the Echo app. A great product. Very pleased.

Very easy to use. No cutting into wires and having some controller box in the way while driving. I installed it in the 7 way plug and plugged the trailer connector into that. Worked right away, easy to adjust. It just works well.

I was nervous about trusting my ability to stop our camper when I order the Echo. After my first use i was in love worked well took some time to find the right sensitivity. The only issue i had is when i picked up my camper the left directional did not work was aggravated with the dealership long before i made it to this point so thought blown bulb whatever fix it when I got home. After diagnose that my Echo controller was not sending the signal through, i called curt and they sent me a new no questions asked and have had no problems since.

used with my Mercedes Benz GL350 to pull dual axel camper. Worked great. I broke the cap. called in for replacement . Customer service sent me a replacement within week. Great service

I purchased the echo for use on a Jeep Wrangler. It has functioned well. We recently purchased a 2019 Ford Ranger. The Echo app seemed to be malfunctioning by constantly applying the brakes. I called Curt where Mark answered the phone and promptly solved the problem. It turns out that some of Ford's new technology sends a constant low voltage signal, which causes this to occur. Curt has improved the product and Mark is sending the updated unit to me. This level of customer service and product development are rare these days. Kudos to Curt for standing behind their products and retaining customers.

With the advancement of technology Curt Group has done a great job keeping stride with the demands of clients like myself. The simplicity of using this product is second to none. I can load my grass clippings into my utility trailer and run them to compost on a Saturday morning, and immediately hook up to my boat for some fun on the water. Each trailer settings are store and accessible right at my fingertip. Definitely worth the investment.

Had my 7-way wiring installed by U-Haul and had to use the wireless brake controller. It worked great, right out of the box, after a few adjustments. Haven't used it long term yet.

A nice simple brake controller that works great. Really nice to not have to install something permanent. I would give it 5 stars if it had Apple CarPlay support

Like the controller, the only thing I don't like is it comes unplugged easy on bumpy roads , would of have giving it 5 star if for it coming unplug so many times

Took a chance on this and absolutely love it. Now every vehicle I own has trailer brakes with 1 controller. It bypasses my trucks old controller so if I want to use the old one or this one, there is no set up. Just plug it in and go.
